Sunny, sweet Saturday

Saturday turned out to be a day of unexpected fun. We decided to take our three older nephews to a local orchard and try our hand at picking fresh fruit. Saturday happened to offer peaches and raspberries. We must have missed the fine print where it states it comes along with over powering heat, steep hills and swarms of bugs, too. But, that didn’t stop us. Despite those things, the boys had fun and each was eager to help in anyway that they could to collect and gather as many peaches as possible.

The older boys camped out in the branches of the trees and shook loose any peach willing to give its sweet, juicy life to our taste buds.
While Julian stationed himself next to the carrying tray, ready to stack peach after peach until the two trays were over flowing with heavy peaches.

After a bit too much sun, we decided it was time to head back up….

They also enjoyed playing with the goats and never wanted to run out of feed to hand over to the ever-hungry baby goats.

The day proved to be exciting and enjoyable for everyone. Theres nothing as fulfilling as spending time with family. And watching as little minds soak in all that they can when they are still open enough to capture the true essence of all that the world has to offer.
