A trip…

I was finally able to relax a lot last night, and indulged myself in the ability to make my way through a significant portion of the book I am reading.
Live What You Love, by Bob and Melinda Blanchard has been a great source of inspiration to me so far. But the greatest thing it did for me was wake me up to why I can never seem to go after what everyone refers to as “their dream”… I could never figure out what my dream was. Finally, my eyes were opened to the concept that I don’t have to have just one dream and work my whole life towards that. I always struggled with the thought that I would mess up what my dream was supposed to be and be going after the wrong thing for the duration of my life. It had never crossed my mind that maybe I can have one dream today, accomplish that and then move on to another entirely unrelated (or possibly related, who knows) dream later on.

This concept being put in front of me led me to realize that my dream/ goal is to be recognized for my photography. I know that the way I see a profound moment, a gimmer of light, a glint of emotion with my eyes is something that I want everyone else to share with me…and I plan to capture that from behind my lens. That is what I am working towards and I accept that I can go from there when that time comes. Thanks to Bob and Melinda I realize that I, too, seek action and that action can mean “a commitment to a fresh project, the latest dream, and our newest love”.
To dreaming….
