A reality check…
I glanced through my previous posts today, partially out of boredom, but more so to evaluate the level of honesty in the selective shared moments I add to this. I wanted to really see if I was gaining any insight into my own life and sadly…the conclusion I came to was that I wasn’t being well-rounded, at all, with what I said or shot photos of. Ive been missing one of the most amazing parts of my life — the hilariously, though down to earth and true, embarrassing and silly moments that make up most of my days.
The truth is I can be sarcastic, bitchy, foul-mouthed and ignorant (all in good fun, geez, I don’t really wish to eliminate any and all people that cross me). And the reality is most things don’t go the way I foresaw them going – despite stressing myself to an obsessive level with preparation and planning . I can prepare as much as I want, but shit still happens. And, I want to remember those moments. I want to have these writings be an honest, realistic account of me, and the life I live. Sure…its wonderful to look to the brighter side of even the most negative situation, but what better way to do so than to be able to re-live some of the not-so perfect moments as recognition that despite whats currently happening… “it could be worse”.
And so, honesty is the new policy for this blog. Stand by for some heinous stories about our oh, sure they look cute in pictures but they’re really monsters pups, the downright dumb things that I say sometimes, and of course, the not-so-perfect yet exactly as they should have happened moments!
And, I leave you with a true moment I call… “TomCat”.
I don’t know why…. but I love it. And he does this quite frequently (he has actually convinced me to try laying this way, and admittedly, its rather comfy).
What I can’t help but to delight in even more is that Meika loves these situations where one is unable to defend ones self from a full on kiss-fest executed, of course, by her.
