Backpacking Lackawanna State Forest

Early Saturday morning, we loaded up the car and headed North with two of our favorite friends. We set out on a backpacking trip in Lackawanna State Forest. We jumped onto the Pinchot Trail and hiked into the woods roughly 6 miles. We reversed the southern loop of the maps we followed. We camped along the Choke Creek at a site that was just off the trail. The site was nestled above the creek and was surrounded by pine trees. This site had a stone seat created by previous campers. Butterflies seemed drawn to the site.

We woke and enjoyed our breakfast before breaking camp and hiking back. I would love to return to this site again.
