On we move, deeper into the season
The end of October traditionally signifies the annual march into mornings where we rise to frost covered fields and evenings of settling into the reminiscent smell of fireplaces crackling and popping with warmth. Fall is winding down…
As the calender days dwindle down to the end of this year, the temperatures have spiraled down to weather that is appropriate for bundling in (my fave!) scarves, vests and comfy hoodies. November has made its signature entrance by blanketing us with an intensely crisp chill to the air. In the midst of these seasonal changes, we have gone about our week days in anticipation of the wonderful events we had planned for the weekends. Usually, I am not one to believe in waiting for the future as opposed to living in the moment, but with such exciting gatherings…how could we not be?
Last weekend was Toms birthday. We had planned to go out to dinner but in a fun turn of events, we ended up staying in with a good friend of ours….
Yard wrestling, great conversations and a lot of laughs followed well into the night.
Saturday was spent with great friends and my favorite little boy in the world, Julian. And a very Happy birthday to our dear lil Seany.
Sunday we celebrated with as many good people as we could fit into our modest sized home. One thing that I adore is when you can gather all (well, most) of your good friends into one setting and just stand back and watch everyone having a blast. Its in those moments that I am really able to mesh right into the conversing and the giggling and forget about anything else but having fun with people I love.
The leaves have taken to gathering in thick sheets over the yard, and the colors of fall are deep and even more prevalent.

Halloween came and went. And despite not doing much to celebrate it this year, I enjoyed it in a new way. I decorated our home and I was proud of it. This seemed to be more important to me than it ever has been before.
We attended the Mutt Strut to support the local shelters in our area that so desperately try to save as many needy animals as possible.
Our Meika was so well behaved…

Its been too long since I have last posted, and as much as I hate to admit it… Its because I have been going, non-stop. As we move forward with the end of this year, I am filling my time with as much fun and relaxation and enjoyment as I can.
