The potential for more

So, it is finally happening. I was at long last able to convince him that it was time. No more craziness at home (I pray)…Things will finally settle down now, right?

Early Grayce is 1 year and one month old, weighing close to 70 pounds. Tom and I have decided to take Early, our baby boy to get neutered. It was a bit of a battle…one pack leader wanting to do said snipping and one (guess who this was) desperately holding onto the dogs manhood, as if it were his own. If you ask me, it was long over due . But, ultimately my concern and urges prevailed and he is currently at the vet now…. Doctor, work your magic.

My truest hope is that he will grow up and mature. I want him to become all that he can as a socialized and civilized part of my family.

I believe that everyone has the ability to reach their highest potential in life, and sometimes my greatest motivation is through taking a look back on my personal progress. I think of where I was 6 years ago – living at home, with no direction and no sense of responsibility for real life. 4 years ago I had started down a path that wasn’t right for me and I am now making some progress. 2 years ago, at 24 years old, I moved out on my own into an apartment with my best friend. The last two years have been tremendous as far as life changing strides. I am becoming settled down, have a house and feel that its one thats worthy of getting comfortable, in a nuturing and positive way, in. And, although I dont quite know which road to take yet, I am coming to realize which ones I can wipe off the map of possibilities.

Choosing one path means abandoning others – if you try to follow every possible path you will end up following none.
~Paulo Coelho

And now, my photo of the day…Because I deeply believe that a creature’s potential never really has limits.
